Yes. Jackpot City’s Ontario site is run by Cadtree Limited, an Alderney-registered company that has held an Ontario licence since 23 June 2022, according to the legal notice on Jackpot City’s own site. It’s also listed on iGaming Ontario’s register of regulated sites.

Being regulated means the casino has to check who you are, hold your money separately from its own, give you tools to limit your play, and answer to an Ontario regulator when something goes wrong. An offshore copy of the same brand owes you none of that.

You can check any casino yourself in about a minute. Search the brand on iGaming Ontario’s list of regulated sites. Not listed? Not legal in Ontario.

jackpotcity.ca or jackpotcitycasino.com?

Jackpot City runs separate sites for different countries, and the names are close enough to catch people out.

Ontario players use jackpotcity.ca/ontario. That’s the regulated site, the one on iGaming Ontario’s register. Jackpotcitycasino.com is the brand’s international site, and it isn’t covered by Ontario’s player protections.

How fast does Jackpot City pay out?

Jackpot City’s help centre says every withdrawal goes into a pending state for at least 24 hours. After that, the speed depends on how you’re paid. Its banking page lists Interac at 1 to 3 business days and Visa at 1 to 24 hours.

Interac payouts only go out on business days, so a Friday-night withdrawal won’t move until Monday at the earliest.

Your first withdrawal also waits on verification. Jackpot City may ask for proof of identity, address and that the payment method is yours, so upload those the day you sign up, not the day you want your money.

Deposits and withdrawals

Jackpot City lists six payment methods for Ontario: Interac, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and eCheck. The minimum deposit is C$10.

The minimum withdrawal is C$50, and its help centre is blunt about it: you can’t withdraw less. If you play with small amounts, BetRivers lets you cash out from C$10. Maximum withdrawals vary by payment method and account status.

Games

Jackpot City says it has over 1,000 games. Slots and table games come mostly from Apricot and Playtech, and the live dealer tables are run by On Air Entertainment and Pragmatic Play.

Beyond slots you get the usual table games in several versions, plus video poker and live tables.

Mobile and app

There are apps for iPhone and Android. Jackpot City’s mobile page links to both the App Store and Google Play, and the site also works in your phone’s browser.

Is Jackpot City down? Why won’t it load?

Most of the time it’s one of four things.

  1. You’re on the international site. Ontario players need jackpotcity.ca/ontario.
  2. It can’t confirm you’re in Ontario. A VPN will block you, and so can being near the Quebec, Manitoba or US border.
  3. Your phone hasn’t given the app or browser permission to check your location.
  4. Planned maintenance, which usually only lasts a short while.

Customer support

You can reach support by live chat (the chat icon on the site), by email, or by phone on 1-888-378-1328, which is toll-free. Live chat is the quickest for anything urgent, like a stuck withdrawal or a verification problem. The site is available in English and French.

Casinos like Jackpot City

Spin Casino is the obvious comparison. It’s run by the same company, with the same C$50 minimum and the same payment methods. Read the Spin Casino Ontario review

If payout speed matters more than the games, look at BetRivers, especially if you use PayPal. Read the BetRivers Ontario review

Verdict

For slots players in Ontario, Jackpot City is a safe pick. It’s properly regulated, it’s been around since 1998, and it takes more payment methods than most. The C$50 minimum and the 24-hour pending period are the trade-offs.
